THE PATRIOT

THE PATRIOT
Josephat S. Hema

It's urgent! Urgent!"
He threw away the heavy blanket,
Sighed at the view of the darkness through the window,
And the morning coldness,
Dressed up with a "hurry up" voice echoing,
He took the key,
And his black Capello,
Off he drove away,
The day just started.

All the way it was dark,
Smog and Smoke covered the sight,
As he drove steadily,
To Deputy's home,
To the urgent matter.

Only to his amazement,
That he waited out for two hours,
Yawning and gnashing teeth,
Regretting that he didn't brush too,
He wanted to save.

"Good morning gentleman”, Deputy came,
Pushing him to leave the steering wheel,
That he unknowingly slept on,
"Sorry for a little delay",Deputy added.
Seriously,little?
Two hours?

He felt anger arising.
But it's the State's matter,
And he was taught Uzalendo,
When he attended National Service,
This is Uvumilivu time.
The day had just started.
